Our Story
It all started when…
They both swiped right. She saw a cute, nerdy, engineer. He saw a pretty, intelligent woman who was into obstacle course races and Renaissance festivals. Only after they started talking did they learn that they had a mutual friend who had already convinced them individually to join the same Spartan Race team. After a couple weeks, they finally met at a New Year's Eve party and spent the whole night talking to each other.
Flash forward a year and a half later: The couple had completed numerous obstacle races, galavanted at the Renaissance Festival, and brewery hopped in Asheville. Now, they were in Atlanta for a sci-fi/fantasy convention, DragonCon. Before the nerdy festivities began, though, they had tickets to a concert by one of Kelly's favorite musical groups, Il Divo. Unknown to Kelly, amidst the wine and snacks, Jason had packed a special surprise: the engagement ring the two had designed together. As soon as Il Divo started singing "I Can't Help Falling in Love with You", Jason got down on one knee and popped the question...
It went about as well as expected.
The year since has been chock-full of activity: promotions at work, buying a house together, Kelly's conversion, and much more.
